Bonefish Clouser Fuchsrot

Tied one of these on after the tide turned and it sank fast enough to get down before the fish even knew what happened. The red color really pops in slightly stained water where my other flies disappear.

That quick-sinking action is exactly what I needed on a choppy flat where the fish were spooky. Cast into a school and got a solid hookup within minutes, and the fly held up fine after a few aggressive takes.

Tied these on for a morning flat session and the quick-sink action put me right in the strike zone without any extra weight. Wary bones that were cruising past gave it a hard look and committed—exactly the reaction I wanted from a pattern like this.
