Mission Short Spey Fliegenrute

Cast this thing in a tight brushy run where I usually can't get a backcast and it laid the line out smooth. The short length really does make the accuracy easier, especially on those small pocket water casts. Two trips in and I'm reaching for it over my longer rods.

Wasn't sure a short rod would handle the roll casts I need on my overgrown river, but this thing loads beautifully in tight quarters. The accuracy I get picking pockets behind boulders is honestly better than my old 13-footer. Two trips in and it's already my go-to for brushy water.

Cast this in my local creek that's lined with alders, and the short length made roll casts so much easier than my old 13-footer. The light swing weight keeps my shoulder from tiring after a couple hours of working tight seams.
