Conejo de Tarpon Orvis

Tarpon fishing is a whole different beast and this one stayed together through two solid hookups in the pass. The tail action on the retrieve is what sold me, it just keeps swimming even when you strip slow.

These flies cast beautifully and hold up surprisingly well after a dozen hard hooksets. The bunny profile gives it that living, pulsing action in the water that tarpon just can't resist.

That first tarpon hit nearly ripped the rod from my hands, and this fly just kept coming back for more. The bunny strip gives it that bulky, lifelike profile in the water that got the big ones to commit. Already tied on a second one for my next trip.
