Mosca Puglisi Floating Minnow per Acqua Salata

Stripping this across a flat at sunrise got an explosive hit on the very first cast, and the way it floats high really kept me in the strike zone the whole retrieve. It's built tough too, handled a few toothy customers without falling apart.

The way this fly sits on the surface drives me crazy in the best way—it twitches and darts just enough to get aggressive fish slashing at it. I had three hookups in an hour on a windy flat, and the floating action never faltered even when the water got choppy. It's earned a permanent spot in my salt

Tied the puglisi on before dawn and had a striped bass explode on it within the first dozen casts. The way it floats and drifts in the saltwater chop definitely triggered that aggressive strike I was hoping for. It’s now a permanent top slot in my saltwater box.
