That crab pattern rides right in the strike zone instead of sinking out of it, which made a huge difference on a windy flat last weekend. Stayed put through a couple of aggressive takes, too.

The hook rides low enough that I can keep it hovering right in the strike zone even with a decent current running. First saltwater session with it, and the redfish couldn’t leave the thing alone.

The water was clear and calm, and this fly sat in the strike zone like it was glued there, no spin or drag on the retrieve. That low hook point makes all the difference when the bones are tailing in the shallows. This is the one I’m reaching for on every flat now.
