Flip Focalは、小さなフライを結ぶ際にこれまで以上に簡単にするために設計された実用的なクリップ式拡大鏡です。フリップアップデザインにより、より近くで見る必要があるときにいつでも素早く便利にアクセスでき、使用しないときは収納できます。
Clipped this to the brim of my cap and the flip-up lens is genuinely handy, I just flick it down when I need to thread the eye. The magnification is clear enough that even 6x tippet goes through on the first try, which I did not expect.
Tying size 22 midges used to mean holding the hook inches from my face and squinting until my eyes watered. This clips right onto the brim of my cap, and the flip-down lens makes those tiny flies actually visible.
The clip holds tight on my vest and the flip-up lens makes tying on size 20 midges way less fiddly. Only gripe is that the magnifier sits a little close to my eye, so I have to lean in more than I'd like. Still, it's stayed on through a full day of wading.
