Took this out on a rainy trail run and the water just beaded off the softshell while my torso stayed dry and breathable the whole time. It even shrugged off a few branches without a single rip, which surprised me for how light it feels in the pack. Definitely my go-to layer for shoulder-season hikes
Took this on a rainy hike and the water just beaded right off the hood, plus it breathed well enough that I didn’t overheat on the climb. Packs down ridiculously small in my pack too, which is a bonus I didn’t expect.
Fit is decent for layering and it does pack down impressively small, but the breathable fabric isn't as airy as I hoped once you start sweating. It handles light rain fine, but for the price I expected a bit more stretch in the sleeves.
