Took this on a four-hour wade last weekend and barely noticed it on my back. The recycled nylon shed water nicely when I got caught in a drizzle, and having the tippet whippet right there saved me from digging through pockets every time I changed flies.
The built-in tippet station is the small touch I didn't know I needed — no more digging through pockets with wet hands. Recycled nylon feels tough enough to drag through brush, and it swings around front easily when I need to re-rig.
Wore this for a full day on the river and barely noticed it was there. The Tippet Whippet station is a small thing but I actually used it constantly instead of digging through pockets. The recycled nylon feels tougher than my old pack too.
