Tied this on a size 4 hook for redfish in the flats and it did the job. The marbled body gives it a buggy look in the water without being too flashy. Held up well after a few toothy hits too.
The marbling on this pattern looks even better in person, and the hook sits perfectly in the water when I strip it slow. Caught three stripers on my first outing with it, and the sand flea silhouette held up through a dozen casts without losing its shape.
Tied a few of these on before heading to the flats, and the marbled segmentation really does hold up in the water—it kicks with just the right action on a slow strip. Landed three decent fish before I switched patterns, which says enough for me.
