The Orvis endorsement caught my eye, and honestly, the lodge's location as a launch point for some of the best flats fishing I've tried is spot-on. The staff had our skiff ready at first light each day, which made the whole trip feel seamless. I’m already planning my return for next season.
The short drive from Congo Town made getting on the water painless, and the Orvis-endorsed standard was obvious in how smoothly everything was organized. Housekeeping had the boats prepped before I even finished my coffee each morning, which I appreciated after a long travel day.
The 25-minute drive from Congo Town is a real plus after a long flight, and the lodge itself feels properly set up for serious anglers. I wish the boat schedule had been a bit more flexible, but the fishing access itself was everything I hoped for.
