크리스마스 아일랜드 스페셜은 중간 정도의 바람에서도 안정적으로 성능을 발휘하도록 설계된 본피시 플라이 패턴으로, 솔트워터 앵글러에게 실용적인 선택입니다.
Held up great in a steady 15 mph crosswind when my usual patterns were getting pushed around. The weight and profile are just right for getting down to bonefish on the flats. Ordered a half dozen more.
Tied a few of these on before heading out, and the profile held up perfectly through a dozen casts in that choppy water. The moderate-wind performance is no joke — it turned over cleanly when my other patterns were fluttering. Already ordered more for the next trip.
Casting into a stiff breeze on the flats, this fly still turned over cleanly on every backcast. The moderate-wind performance is exactly what I needed for those longer shots at skittish bones. Tied a few on and they held up well through a full day of stripping.
