The fleece lining is what sold me—it’s genuinely plush and traps heat perfectly under my waders, even when the wind kicks up. I’ve worn them on three freezing mornings so far and haven’t felt a single chill.
First trip out in 28-degree wind and my legs stayed toast the whole morning, the fleece lining really locks in heat without making me sweat. The waistband sits flat under my waders too, no bunching when I'm stripping line.
The fleece lining is exactly what I needed under my waders—warm but not bulky, and it didn’t bunch up when I was walking the riverbank. Been out in 40-degree water temps for hours and stayed bone dry the whole time. This is my go-to base layer now for any cold trip.
