I tie mostly size 10 buggers for deep pocket water, and these get down fast without me adding split shot to the line. The weight is right there in the cone, so the fly stays balanced and still flips over correctly on the strip.
These coneheads completely changed how my streamers fish in fast water. The extra weight gets the fly down into the strike zone way faster than my old bead heads, and I'm hooking fish I used to miss. Tying them on is quick too, no fuss with the cone sliding around.
These sink my conehead streamers noticeably faster in deeper riffles, which is exactly what I needed. Only gripe is the weight makes smaller patterns feel a bit clunky to cast, but for big water it's worth it.
