Cast this along a jetty edge at slack tide and the crab profile sits exactly where you'd expect a real one to tumble. The realistic shape got hammered by sheepshead and a couple of slot reds. Tied it on a 1/0 and it tracked straight even in a stiff side current.

The keel weighting is the reason this crab gets down fast without twisting my tippet, and the silhouette holds up even after a dozen casts into the rocks. I've had two solid hookups on striped bass in one session, which says enough for me. For a saltwater pattern, that's hard to beat.

Tied one on during an outgoing tide and the crab silhouette held its shape even in the chop—those redfish couldn’t leave it alone. The keel keeps the hook point riding up through the eelgrass, which is exactly what I needed. Landed three slot fish before the sun got high.
