Coeur d'Alene, ID Vliegvisschool

The casting instruction here is so hands-on that I went from zero experience to landing a decent roll cast by lunchtime. Being out on the water in Coeur d’Alene with that kind of scenery made the whole day feel less like a lesson and more like a proper escape.

Still reeling from my first day on the water here—the casting lessons are paced so well that by the afternoon I was actually landing flies where I aimed. The instructors genuinely tailor everything to your level, and that setting by the lake makes the whole morning feel like a vacation.

The casting instructor broke everything down so clearly that by the second hour I was landing flies exactly where I aimed. Watching my line unfurl against the backdrop of the lake made the whole lesson feel less like work and more like therapy.
