Ergo Whip Afwerker

Finishing a size 18 midge used to mean fumbling with thread and losing tension, but this tool locks it down in one or two wraps. The handle grip keeps my hand from cramping on long tying sessions, which I didn't expect to matter this much.

The ergonomic handle on this one actually made a difference during a long tying session—my hand didn't cramp up like it usually does. Finishing off whip knots feels way more controlled now, especially on tiny dries where I used to fumble. Worth every penny.

I tie a lot of small midges and the grip on this thing keeps my hand from cramping after an hour at the vise. The whip finishes come out tight and neat every time, way cleaner than what I was doing by hand.
