Hackle Tang

The spring tension on these is just right for gripping hackle without crushing the feather barbs. I've been tying size 14 Adams dries all week and the pliers hold steady while I wrap. Way better control than the tweezers I was using before.

I tie size 18 midges constantly and my fingers always fumbled the hackle until now. The fine tips hold even the smallest feathers without crushing the stem, and the grip stays comfortable through a whole evening at the vise.

The fine tips grab hackle feathers without crushing the stems, which makes winding dry flies way less frustrating. Spring tension feels just right too, so my hand doesn't cramp after an hour at the vise.
