Koga's Bonefish Shrimp is een vlieg die is ontworpen om je te helpen bonefish-achtervolgingen op de flats om te zetten in succesvolle vangsten.
The hook rides through the grass flats without fouling, and that’s exactly what I needed when the water got skinny. Casts land soft and the shrimp profile looks alive on the drop, which got me two solid follows that turned into real hookups.
Tied a few of these on before a morning low tide and the shrimp silhouette looked right at home in the skinny water. Twitched it slow through a sandy pothole and the bonefish committed immediately, no hesitation. It’s become my first pick when the tails start waving.
Tied three on before my last flats trip and the shrimp silhouette got crushed on the second cast—the pattern really does trigger those chases into eats. Hooked three bones before the tide turned, and the fly held up fine through a dozen casts.
