Our classic click-and-pawl-style C.F.O.® III Fly Reel represents a fly-fishing legacy design made in America.
The drag is buttery smooth and the click is loud enough to hear over a riffle, which is exactly what I wanted for dry fly work. Machined tolerances feel tight, and the American craftsmanship shows in every turn of the handle.
The drag on this reel is buttery smooth and the click sound when a fish runs is just so satisfying. Assembly feels solid, and knowing it’s built in America gives me confidence it’ll last through many seasons on the river.
The click-and-pawl sound is exactly what I wanted—crisp and traditional, not mushy like some cheaper reels. It’s machined beautifully and feels solid in the hand, and knowing it’s made in America makes me trust it more on the water. Paired it with my 3-weight and the drag is plenty for trout.
