The lining is genuinely plush—I threw it on after a rainy hike and it kept the chill off while I sat by the fire. Outer shell feels sturdy enough for brush, but it’s not stiff or noisy like some field coats. This one’s already my default for most evenings.
I’d been eyeing this coat for a while and finally pulled the trigger before a rainy weekend hike. It shrugged off the drizzle completely, and the rugged outer shell felt tough against branches, but once I got inside by the fire the soft interior made it perfect for just lounging around too.
The lining is so soft that I actually look forward to pulling this on after a long day outside, and the rugged shell has already shrugged off a few thorny branches without a mark. It’s become my default layer for everything from chores to sitting by the fire.
