The Omni Homestead, VA

The Orvis-endorsed fly fishing setup here is the real deal—even as a first-timer, the guides had me casting confidently by midday. Paired with the lodge’s fresh trout dinner after a day on the water, it’s the perfect blend of adventure and comfort.

The scenery around Hot Springs alone is worth the trip, but the fly fishing here truly exceeded my expectations. Even as a beginner, the guided experience made me feel confident casting on the river.

The Orvis endorsement actually meant something to me—the guides knew exactly where the trout were hiding, and I landed more fish in one afternoon than I did all last season. Even my wife, who came along just for the scenery, ended up trying a cast and loving it.
