Encounter 陶瓷線軸

After years of tying with a cheap metal bobbin that shredded my thread, this thing is a revelation — the ceramic tip just glides. The tension is smooth enough that I'm not constantly readjusting while wrapping small dries.

The ceramic tip really does cut down on thread fraying, even with my cheaper 8/0 spools. It's light enough that my hand doesn't cramp after an hour at the vise.

Tied a dozen size 18 midges last night and didn't snap my thread once, which almost never happens with my old bobbin. The ceramic tip glides smooth and the tension adjustment actually holds where you set it. Best upgrade I've made to my tying desk in years.
