Wore this for a full day wading and barely noticed it on my hips, which is exactly what I wanted. The pockets are laid out so my tippet spools and nippers stay reachable without me fumbling around.

The 9-liter capacity swallowed my fly boxes, tippet spools, and a water bottle without feeling bulky, and everything stayed right at hip level where I could grab it one-handed. After a full day wading it never once slid down or dug into my waist.

Took it on a muddy spring creek trip and the 9-liter capacity swallowed two fly boxes, tippet spools, and my lunch without bulging. The hip belt stays put when I crouch to net a fish, which my old chest pack never managed. Genuinely the most usable pack I've owned on the water.
