After bending out a cheap hook on a mid-30s muskie last fall, I switched to these 6/0s and the difference is obvious. The wire gauge holds up under real pressure without being so stiff that it kills the fly's action.
Threw these on my pike flies all last weekend and not one hook rolled open, even after a few violent strikes in the weeds. The 6/0 gap holds big streamers nicely without crowding the eye. Solid wire for the price.
